Addicted to Knitting
At long last, I have taken up knitting. My close friend from highschool, Becky taught me a while back, but it was frustrating at first so it got pushed to the back burner for awhile. My mother bought be some new needles and yarn for xmas, bigger and bulkier and it was easier to get the hang of it. Before I knew it, I had finished a scarf which my boyfriend claimed and now wears regularly. Success!
This is the hat I improvised after the scarf was finished. It started out as a swatch for ribbing and decreasing, but then I realized I could mirror what I had just done with an increase and practice my kitchener stitch to seam the sides.
Now I’m very close to finishing my first sock.
More to come…
Back in the water at last!
My cast is off, replaced by a waterproof splint, and I am all set to begin swim classes again. I look forward to teaching again as well as swimming! My left hand is still off limits to lifting for the next month, but we expect a smooth recovery. Thank you to all of you who have sent such kind words and well wishes.
Happy Halloween
Happy Halloween everyone! I hope that everyone has a safe, fun and spooky time.
Hand Surgery
Yesterday, Wednesday October 19, I had to get hand surgery to repair nerve damage to my left index finger after a cooking accident. Due to this, I am currently on leave from swimming instruction, but I will still be accepting design projects and most photography projects. To inquire after quotes and availability please email carolyngraphique@gmail.com
New Temporary Site
Due to some strange circumstances and the long amount of time that it has been taking to get my full site back up and running, I have quickly mocked up at temporary portfolio site using Google Sites.
Please feel free to visit here.
I hope to start work on my design site and blog within the next week or so.
Enjoy!
